A suicide assault aviator has exploded himself at a Shia religious function in north-east Nigeria, slaughtering around 20 individuals, observers have told the BBC.
The assault aviator joined the function in Potiskum town and exploded himself, the witnesses said.
No gathering has said it did the assault, yet suspicion is sure to fall on aggressor Sunni Islamist bunch Boko Haram.
It reproves Shias, a little minority in Nigeria, as non-Muslims.
Witnesses said the bomb blasted as the swarm was checking Ashura, a serious day when Shias grieve the suffering of Hussein, a grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, in 680 AD at Karbala in cutting edge Iraq.
Boko Haram has pursued a revolt in Nigeria since 2009.
It has over and over focused on Christians and opponent Muslim bunches.
In July, it was rebuked for besieging an outside mosque in Potiskum, murdering four individuals.
