Tom Bradby replaces Julie Etchingham and Mark Austin on ITV’s flagship News at Ten bulletin
Tom Bradby is to become the main presenter of ITV’s News at Ten programme, replacing Mark Austin and Julie Etchingham in a reshuffle that is said to have ruffled feathers in the newsroom.
The flagship bulletin will return to the single anchor format it had in the 1990s, in what the broadcaster hailed as “an exciting chapter”.
Austin will move to the lower-profile 6.30pm programme, which he will co-present with Mary Nightingale. Etchingham “will remain a key figure” by anchoring News at Ten when Bradby is away and hosting other current affairs programmes for ITV.
